Brisbane Pipe Band is a social community group of musicians based in Brisbane, Australia.
We play a range of Scottish, Celtic, Australian, folk and popular music at parades, performances, pubs, and festivals in Brisbane and beyond.
We also compete in Grade 4 competitions (PBA–Q) every year, with the aim to always keep improving our technique and ensemble performance.
The band welcomes experienced players as well as complete beginners – we tutor new players in how to play bagpipes, snare drums, tenor drums and bass drum.
If you want to join an excellent group of humans who enjoy spending time together and playing good music well, we want to hear from you!
If you are an experienced piper or drummer looking for a band, we’d love to hear from you.
Our band is focused on maintaining a balance between competing to continuously improve, but also having fun and enjoying social gigs, parades and performances.
We practise on Monday nights at Clayfield College in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, and always welcome new players.
Get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in learning more about joining us.
If you’ve never touched a drum or set of pipes, there’s no time like the present. You don’t need to be Scottish or have any musical background to give it a go.
Brisbane Pipe Band teaches piping and drumming from scratch. We supply all music and can advise you on the right equipment you’ll need to get started.
If you want to try something new, have a fun new hobby, make great friends, and be a rock star (no promises on the last one), get in touch with us by emailing email@example.com.
